Concrete Foundations

A concrete foundation has absolutely everything to do with the aesthetic appeal and safety of your concrete surface. Just because the foundation is not seen doesn’t mean it is any less important! A strong foundation is key to long-term success. A professionally installed foundation keeps moisture out, resists shifts in soil, and resists freezing temperatures from the surrounding ground.

If you need a new foundation our concrete contractors have decades of combined experience in laying and reinforcing foundations for residential and commercial properties. Whether you need a strong foundation for a new home, driveway, business, etc. our team is ready and waiting for you.

    Three Types of Concrete Foundations

A home or business foundation is much more important than most people realize because “out of sight out of mind” is more than just a popular phrase. Professionally installed concrete foundations ensure that your home and/or business is safe, the possibility of cracks is reduced, and that the soil underneath does not dramatically shift causing structural damage.
    T-Shaped Foundation

    T-Shaped Foundation

This is one of the most common foundations used for residential-style properties. If your property is located in an area where the ground is known to freeze when temperatures drop, we will use a T-shaped foundation that will ensure the structure of your home is much more secure even when the soil below changes. First, the footing is placed below the freezing line, then our team will construct and pour the walls and finally, we will place the slab in place.
    Frost Protected Foundation

    Slab-on-grade foundation

With our other common installation, the ground is one that is not known to freeze regularly. But that does not mean it is useless when the weather cools off. When we pour this slab, it is much thicker around the edges and we reinforce it with rods. Our poured slab rests on gravel to help any drainage that will occur. A wire mesh is also used in the concrete to reduce any possibility of future cracks.
